This campaign, aimed at field service managers, played on the idea that although quite often your field operatives may be hundreds of miles away from the office you were always in control through TRACKER telematics.
Businesses with field service operatives range in size from organisations like Centrica to local plumbing businesses with 20 vans.
High value prospects were sent a boxed, remote-control car with the mailer. Middle tier prospects were sent the mailer with bespoke envelope and sales letter that gave the opportunity to get a remote controlled car if they booked a meeting, and tier-three prospects just got the mailer in a bespoke, messaged envelope.
Both ads and direct mail pointed prospects to a custom microsite for further information, booking a sales rep and data capture.

The campaigns we created for TRACKER all started life as black and white concept art or visuals. We presented three or four ideas and once a creative theme was chosen we then created the visual assets required to fit DM, magazine inserts, ads, and websites.
In this case we utilised this stock shot of steers running wild as a great abstract image to fit the copyline 'is your fleet running wild?'
The secondary image - of a god-like fleet manager holding the reins of his fleet of vans like a modern day Ben Hur - needed a more creative approach.
Multiple shots of one hire van were pieced together to form the fleet while the Ben Hur character was shot in the studio. The clouds of dust from a stock shot, sky, fleet of vans and manager were retouched together in PhotoShop.
Key copywriting and imagery were then tied together with well thought out typography and creative graphic design to deliver a successful multi-channelled creative campaign.

With direct mail it’s great to be able to deliver the key messages in bite-size chunks by using a fold-out 'reveal'. This also helps bulk up the messaging for the whole campaign too - especially if you’re positioning multiple ads. You can also use the different messages to test which gets the best response.
To support the copy lines ‘Power up your fleet’, ‘Plug into immediate results’ and ‘Saving you time and money’ we created a couple of images from black and white concept art or visuals that we then presented. We shot the components to create a TRACKER plug - nice big round red plug with a truck, transit and estate van to really tie it in with TRACKER and the ‘Plug into…’ header.
For the ‘save time’ we shot toy trucks positioned to form a clock and retouched both plug and clock images together with a sky background to give this a ‘big’ theatrical launch feel. All creative was utilised across multiple ads, direct mail and inserts with a microsite for more in-depth information about the product and data capture for prospects interested in booking a sales rep.
